Segofs Energy Services Limited (SESL) is aware of Nigeria’s legislation on forced labour and human trafficking. Specifically, Section 34 (1)c of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Section 73 of the Labour Act prohibit forced labour practices, and this is in addition to Section 13 of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015.

In addition to the above, Nigeria is also a member of international organizations that prohibit forced labour and trafficking in persons such as the ILO (International Labour Organization).

SESL, as a corporate organization, adopts and adheres strictly to all the legislations and statutory requirements that frown at unfair labour practices such as the use of forced labour and trafficking in persons.

Consequent upon the above, it has been SESL practice to welcome agencies of government to carry out her statutory duty of ensuring that SESL complies with relevant laws governing labour practices.

SESL does not and shall not work with or for any contractor(s) or organization(s) that does not comply with relevant government laws that prohibit the use of forced labour and trafficking in persons.

Further to the above, SESL does not and shall not get involved with practices that impugn on or infringe on the constitutional right of the human person either through recruitment or any other means.
